What do you see when you see your reflection? Do you see only the physical form or can you look deeper and see the beauty that lies just below the surface?
Do you see only your failure to satisfy everyone else's expectations of you or can you see into your heart and soul and appreciate who you are?
See truth without judgment,
grant forgiveness without guilt
and offer pride without shame.
Difficult To See Past The Surface?
Often it's difficult to see past the surface. You know yourself best and take for granted those behaviors, talents and abilities others treasure and admire most in you.
It's easy to see flaws instead of value, ugliness instead of beauty, and darkness instead of light when you are the only one evaluating who and what you are.
When all you can see are shapes, sizes and colors, look at yourself through the eyes of those who love you. With each loving reflection will come a completely different perspective on how special you are in the world and how truly valuable you are as an individual.
The Eyes of Those Who Love You
After seeing yourself reflected in their eyes, the way you look at yourself will change forever.
Seek out your reflection in the eyes of those who love you. Those are the eyes that see truth without judgment, grant forgiveness without guilt and offer pride without shame.
Learn from them how to look at yourself the way they do — with love and acceptance. Then you won't need a mirror, you'll become one for others.

Mirror Work: 21 Days to Heal Your Life
by Louise Hay
The Mirror Principle, one of Louise’s core teachings, holds that our experience of life mirrors our relationship with ourselves; unless we see ourselves as loveable, the world can be a dark and lonely place. Mirror work—looking at oneself in a mirror and repeating positive affirmations—is Louise’s powerful method for learning to love oneself and experience the world as a safe and loving place. Like her successful video course, Loving Yourself, MIRROR WORK lays out a 21-day program of teachings and exercises to help readers deepen their relationship with themselves and live a joyous and fulfilling life.
