This is Marie T. Russell, co-publisher of InnerSelf.com, wishing you a day of connecting with your close friends (today and every day).

Comment from Marie:
In this age of Facebook and social media "friends", we may find that we are short of people who are true friends -- those that we can count on when we need them... The best way to remedy this is, as with anything else, to give that which you wish to receive.

If you want good friends you can count on, start by being a good friend that can be counted on. Reach out and offer your help, your time, your caring attention. The connection between you and these friends will blossom, and will then become a true "full circle" friendship that you can count on... just as your friends will be able to count on you.

Even if it’s just a brief check-in with a text or email, let friends know you are there, and there for them, and they will likely be there for you.
