InnerSelf.com welcomes your inner Self...
Everything is always in the process of changing. Even when it appears that no change is taking place, there is always change. But if we want the world around us to change visibly, we must start with ourselves. since we see everything around us through our own eyes, what we see is what is within us or what we are projecting. Seing anger and rage? Look within and deal with the anger and rage that you find there... it may be buried deep, or it may be right at the surface... yet there it is... Same with all other emotions.
I've found the best way to get to know myself truthfully is to observe the people around me. Since I see them through my eyes, what I see (or think I see) is what is within me as well... the good, the bad and the ugly. It's not always easy to admit that we carry the same traits we judge or disdain in others... as well as the traits we admire. Yet, there it is. We carry those traits and get to choose which ones we feed and give life to.
So this week, I encourage you to look at everyone and everything as reflecting something within you. We can't change anyone else, but we can "clean up our act" and then suddenly, the world around us will seem to be different. We will find ourselves in different situations that reflect where we are internally. And that can keep changing as we keep observing the people around us...
